CVE-2026-57585

HIGHPre-NVD 7.57.5
EchelonGraph scoreMEDIUM confidence

This high-severity CVE scores 7.5 under a secondary CVSS source (NVD's own analysis pending). EPSS exploit probability: 0.3%, top 80% of all CVEs by exploit prediction. GitHub Security Advisory data not yet ingested — confidence will rise once GHSA publishes (typical lag: hours to days for open-source ecosystem CVEs; never for infrastructure-only CVEs).

MessagePack is the serializer implementation for Python msgpack.org. Prior to 1.2.1, there is an Out-of-bounds read/crash on Unpacker reuse after a caught error, potentially leading to a DoS attack. If the Unpacker is used repeatedly after an error occurs, the process may crash with a SEGV. This issue has been fixed in version 1.2.1.
